In February 2011 we asked our existing customers to complete a Survey / Questionnaire relating to their experiences of using the Baby's Days system within their setting, shown below are the results of this questionnaire with a sample of answers we received from our customers.

• Do you feel Baby’s Days has helped you within your setting and why? Do you feel Baby's Days has helped you within your setting and please explain why? “It has been an absolute godsend. I don’t have to think about linking every aspect to within the EYFS which can be confusing and really time consuming. All the difficult bits are prepared so I can concentrate on the most important aspects which are the children I care for.” - Derby, Derbyshire. “It has helped me to look at all aspects of the business, it has helped with my planning and recording the child’s progression in a way which is less time consuming and easier to understand and keep track of. The parents feel that they have more 'control' over what their child is doing during the day as they can access it when they want to. However, it was obvious from the beginning of using Baby's Days that I was not actually completing the EYFS thoroughly, to a high standard or as professionally as the Baby's Days system allows.” - Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. “I like the fact that I can keep all the children’s info on there and the parents can always access it to make sure it’s up to date as well as their progress and diaries. It helps keep great communication between us and the parents and they love the instant access to the many photos we take throughout the day. The policies and permissions are also a great tool as you can personalise them and it saves on printing each time. Baby’s Days is a great tool, and has come on so much since I first trialed it! Do your parents connect to your system and do they like using the system? “Yes – I’ve had nothing but good feedback.” - Reading, Berkshire. “Yes, daily and they love seeing the photos and not having to worry about bringing a book backwards and forwards.” - Didcot, Oxfordshire. “They love it, and I get regular feedback that they really enjoy using it. Have been impressed with the EYFS portfolio I was able to give them to hand over to the child's other care setting. I have two grandparents who have also enjoyed looking at the diaries and the photo's. Especially the parents with children who are yet to learn to communicate, as the whole day can be recorded and photographed which fully enables the parent to feel involved.” - Bournemouth, Dorset. “A big thumbs up from all of my parents! Even one parent who can only access the system when she visits her mum’s house prefers it to the old way (to make up for this I provide her with a paper daily diary but the rest is on Baby’s Days which she is happy with).” - Lincoln, Lincolnshire.
Do you feel that Baby's Days has improved the partnership with your Parents? “I already wrote daily diaries for my parents, but didn’t always get feedback. Do you feel Baby's Days has helped you understand the EYFS more/better? “Yes, linking the principles with the Early Learning Goals and assessments has really given me a clearer insight into the EYFS.” - Derby, Derbyshire. “Yes, before I started using it I was getting a bit lost with how to best present the EYFS. I took to the system straight away and it has definitely made my life easier.” - Belper, Derbyshire. “I am an experienced practitioner, so I already had a good knowledge of the EYFS. I had to learn in my own time and the Baby’s Days system has clarified all those small areas I had problems with.” - Chorley, Lancashire. “I have battled with the EYFS since it came out in 2008, I have tried many different ways at implementing the EYFS into my work setting to no avail. Baby's Days has a much clear and easy way of understanding the EYFS, Bay's Days does not do the whole work for you but it is a fantastic tool.” - Lincoln, Lincolnshire. “I believe that Baby’s Days is the reason I actually understand the EYFS, before using the system I was dazed and confused, everyone explained things differently. What were the thoughts or comments of the OFSTED Inspector regarding Baby’s Days? “The Inspector was astounded, she thought the system was an excellent form of communication, an even better way of keeping track of the EYFS, and an ingenious way of saving hours on paperwork.” - North London. “She liked how it was accessible to all parents. At the time I had a parent who was blind and she was very impressed with how the system worked with his screen reading software. Also, how one of my parents works abroad for months on end and can logon to see photo's of what his son has been doing with me during the day.” - Belper, Derbyshire. “She loved it! Particularly the diary upload & the flexibility.” - Glossop, Derbyshire. “This dynamic system is used to its full efficiency by the childminder as she captures the journey from planning down to individual next steps for all children. In addition all parents can keep comprehensively involved in the children’s learning journey and day’s accomplishments through logging onto the website to view photos, whilst capturing an inspiring knowledge of their child's day.
