Shown below are details on how the Baby's Days system integrates Medium Term Plans with Short Term Plans.

Create your Medium Term Plans and the data is automatically added to your Short Term Plans with the click of a mouse.

Shown below is an example of how quickly and easily this process takes place.

First, we create our Medium Term Plan and add notes.

Create Medium Term Plan ::When creating our Medium Term Plans we add a title for the Plan and then add notes within each Area of Learning, these are brainstorming areas which will be used when you create a Short Term (Weekly) Plan.Within each Area of Learning for your Medium Term Plan you would add a selection of notes / items and link them all with an Aspect and Development Matter, once you have completed adding your items you would save the Plan.

When creating our Medium Term Plans we add a title for the Plan and then add notes within each Area of Learning, these are brainstorming areas which will be used when you create a Short Term (Weekly) Plan.

Within each Area of Learning for your Medium Term Plan you would add a selection of notes / items and link them all with an Aspect and Development Matter, once you have completed adding your items you would save the Plan.

Now, we create a Short Term Plan, and select which Medium Term Plan we will use.

Create Short Term Plan :: When we create our Short Term Plan (weekly) we add a title for the Plan and then we select which Medium Term Plan we will use for this Short Term Plan. In this example we have selected our Transport Medium Term Plan which we created above.

In this example we have selected our Colours Medium Term Plan which we created above.

Now we add our notes to the days of our Short Term Plan.

Add notes to days :: 

Now we must start to add our notes / items for each day of our Short Term Plan.

Naturally we do not want to type out what have already typed in our Medium Term Plan so the system allows you to quickly and simply add the notes / items from the Medium Plan in to our Short Plan.

In this example you can see that above every Area of Learning box for each day of our Plan, we can select an Aspect, you can see that alongside CD it has a (6) this tells us that six notes were added to our Medium Term Plan for this area.

If we select KUW from the drop down box, above the activity box appears our items that we added to our Medium Term Plan, if we select this item, the note gets automatcially added to that Day, in addition, KUW is added to the Area of Learning Box and finally the Development Matter we linked it to in our Medium Plan is added to the Area of Learning Details box.

This simple process can be carried out for every day of the week and there are no limits on the number of notes that can be added to a day, and each time you add a note from the drop down boxes, the Area of Learning and Development Matter boxes get completed for you.

You can also add the same note to different days.
