Shown below are details on how the Baby's Days system integrates Individual Learning Plan Next Step notes with the Progress.

When adding a new ILP Next Step note for a Child, this note will appear within the Child’s ILP notes to assign to a new Plan, in addition, the note will also be added below the relevant area of their Progress, this is to show how you are working towards helping the child achieve their Development Goals.

First, we add the note to the Child's ILP notes section.

Add Next Step Note :: </p><p>Firstly, we add a new Next Step note to the Child's Individual Learning Plan notes, this note will then be assigned to a Plan in the future.To add the note, we select the Area of Learning, then we select the Aspect and finally we select the Development Matter.Now we add our note, in this example we have chosen PSRN -> Shape, Space and Measures -> Enjoys filling and emptying containers.And our Next Step note is: Spend time in the sandpit playing with buckets and containers filling and emptying them.Now we save our note.

Our note is now ready to assign to an Individual Learning Plan.

Note is ready to use :: Once we have added our note it is now visible in the Child's Individual Learning Plan notes section of the system. These notes are used to assign to an Individual Learning Plan for the Child.

Once the Next Step has been achieved the Progress is updated.

Date added to Child's Progress :: As soon as this note has been assigned to a Individual Learning Plan for the Child and the child has successfully accomplished the Next Step, the note is marked as complete.At the same time this note is marked as completed, the date this Development Matter was completed is automatically added within the child's Progress so you don't have to go to the Progress and manually add the date yourself.
