Shown below are details on how the Baby's Days system integrates Focused Plans with Individual Learning Plan Next Step notes.

Click here to see the full list of areas that integrate on the Baby's Days system.

When you revisit a Child's Focused Plan to complete it, there are a number of areas that need to be filled in, these include a Future Needs / Next Steps section, within this area you select the Area of Learning, Aspect and the Development Matter this Next Step note will be linked to, perhaps when you carried out this Focused Plan with the Child, they found difficulty in counting to 3 or perhaps they had no interest in their surroundings etc.

So, to ensure you spend some one to one time with this Child on these areas, the Next Step notes you add to this section in the Focused Plan will be automatically copied across to the Individual Learning Plan Notes so that the note can be assigned to a future Individual Plan for this Child.

First, we add a note within the Future Needs / Next Steps within the Child's Focused Plan.

When you have carried out a Focused Plan with a Child, you must revisit the Plan to complete certain areas, one of these areas is the Next Steps for the Child.

This area is used to note future needs for the Child, perhaps when you carried out this Focused Plan with the Child, they found difficulty in counting to 3 or perhaps they had no interest in their surroundings etc.

So, to ensure you spend some one to one time with this Child on these areas, the notes you add to this section in the Focused Plan will be automatcially copied across to the Individual Learning Plan Next Step Notes so that the note can be assigned to a future Individual Plan for this Child.

To add the note, we select the Area of Learning, then we select Aspect and finally we select the Development Matter.

Now we add our note, in this example we have chosen PSED -> Dispositions & Attitudes -> Explores the environment with interest.

And our note for our future ILP is: Take a walk through the woods looking, touching and exploring.

Now we save our note.
